Hello.
I have an A2000 who I'm currently tweaking. It have ks37175, PAL hacked rev6 mobo, ECS Denise and 1Mb Fatter Agnus. So far it have:
HARDWARE
- GVP Impact A3001 (the very first model with crappy IDE controller). 030 & FPU originally 25MHz, clocked to 28.3MHz, heatsink on the 030;
- A2091 with 2Mb + ROM 6.6 + 4.3Gb HD (fooled to recognize only 1.9Gb or HDtoolbox guru the A2000) and a SCSI CD. Active terminators on both ends of the cable;
- Meta4 RAM expansion set to 2Mb to fulfil the 8Mb auto-config RAM;
- A Toshiba 340Mb IDE 2.5" HD on the GVP's IDE (not recognized at all).
SOFTWARE
EAB's Classic Workbench ECS with little tweak: (registered) IDEfix97 for the CD, Viewtek instead JIV, GVP commands on the startup-sequence.
PROBLEMS
The A2000 is suffering with some SCSI freezes, sometimes even the CD don't mount nor show up in Sysinfo nor Showconfig. Sysinfo hangs the computer when trying the "speed" button on DH0: (or other HD partition)!:madashell:
Tested CPU no (DATA & INST)caches & no bursts, nothing. Also the IDE HD don't show up. And WHDload games/demos hangs too. I need some advices on those problems.
TINKERING/IDEAS
BTW: can I simply put the revision 7 of 2091 ROM into the expansion drawer to make it work or I really need a real rev7 or Babel's GURU ROM installed?:-?
The same for the GVP IDE 3001 (GVPAT.ROM ~ AT3.x ROM)?:-?
