winUaE USB harddrive issue.
« on: August 30, 2008, 08:57:57 PM »
Hi I am having trouble getting my 2.5" drive formated under winuae.

It is attached to my usb caddy and uae tells me that

the selected drive safty check is active, and the hard drive is not empty and non rdb enabled.

I have used the caddy before with no worries and it works with amiga drives ok.

Any ideas? I have 3hdds I am trying to setup via winUAE.

Cheers

Did you run UAE with the command line option to disable the safety check? And are you having the same problem with all of the drives?

Like Moto said, if you haven't already done so, edit your Winuae icon so that the target reads like this:

X:\winuae.exe -disableharddrivesafetycheck (X being whatever drive+directory you have Winuae in)
