New Batch of Minimig Enclosures?
« on: October 06, 2008, 08:51:48 PM »
 Hi,

How many people have a Minimig board and need a case/enclosure?

You can see them here if you have missed them the first time:

At the moment I have no more White ones left and only a few Black ones.

Is anyone interested in a new production?

Please let me know as soon as possible so we might just manage to get them back before Christmas, so if you are thinking of buying one as a present the time to let me know is now. :-)

I am in talks with ACube regarding a custom case for SAM but this depends on the sales of the Minimig enclosures too, so please post your comments.

Thank you,
:-)

Hi,

White was 67.45 GBP
Black is 72.45 GBP

but I should be able to reduce the price a little bit once the minimum order has been reached. Possibly around the £65-68 for either the white or black. It will depend on how many people are interested, the more people register their interest the less it might cost to produce.

Thank you,
:-)

I have decided against a MiniMig right now, cause i wanna wait how Natami turns out, and get that one instead... I applaud your efforts for this community though again...

I'd be highly interested in a genuine case for Samantha though, and hope you get something going together with Acube. Your Minimig case is really brilliant, and i hope your ideas for the Sam enclosure are equally awesome.

I think Amigas need a dedicated case again, to be real Amigas. Maybe that's just my nostalgic view, but i think a lot of other people feel similar about this topic...

You could look in to a partnership with ACube. They seem to be willing to invest in manufacturing Amiga products. If you licensed your case design to them then they could use their larger buying power to get the cases made much more cheaply than the small production runs you are talking about. The saving could be passed on to the customer to make the product more desirable, and it could be offered as a bundle with a MiniMig board. You could do a similar thing with a design for the SAM440.

Just an idea :-)

Thanks for your reminder.  I have just bought a Minimig, but I'm still not certain that it will meet my requirements, so I won't buy any case right now.

I think they're awesome and if I get a Minimig I will definately want one.  Right now it looks like it'll be next year though that I can afford a Minimig, so it may be awhile.

Personally if I were you I'd see how many distributors would commit to purchases.  Such as Acube as suggested or perhaps amigakit.com.

Thanks,

Neofree

@everyone

Would maybe help putting a cheaper version in to production?

Let me know what you think...:-)
