Wanted: Amiga 1200T, 3000, or 4000 (prefer swapsies)

Hi All,

I'm really hankering after a big box miggy again. I've got an A1200 at home thats just bog standard, but really want something with Zorro or PCI slots.

I wondered if anyone would be interested in a swap? A moderately specced big box or towered Amiga for a relatively new HP Laptop, a G3/G4 Powermac, or even a G5 Apple XServe?

I can of course sell these items to get the cash together, but I have completely lost interest in using ebay, it causes me to much grief.

That is one good looking case you've got there, I can understand why you dont want to part with it. What sort of paint did you use on it?  I recently painted a small PC case to use as a Media Center and the results were less than spectacular.

Hi there, the XServe is a single processor 2Ghz unit with 1GB of Ram, an 80GB Disk, and 2x 500GB Disks. It has a raid card and a PCI graphics card.

It's an interesting offer indeed. The way I see it at the moment, I have two real options...

1) Try and get a tower, mediator, and accelerator for my A1200

2) Hope for a swap to get a Tower or Desktop machine, and then add a mediator and possibly accelerator to it

I'm not entirely sure which way to go. I think an A1200T with the appropriate addons (mediator, 060 or PPC, voodoo3, nic etc) would be far more useful at this stage, but I'd love to get an A4000 again...

The main reason I want a mediator is that I shouldn't find it too difficult to find the cards for it. In fact, I have such a huge stash of components and PC's, I probably already have all the cards, much to the wife's disgust.

What do people think is the better route?
