WTB: Non-functioning A500 or just an A500 case
« on: June 26, 2008, 06:44:13 PM »
Hi,

Working on a little project here and I'm short a case.

Anyone have one in not too bad shape they'd be willing to part with?  Hopefully with the trapdoor and expansion port covers.  I'd even settle for a yellowed one.

I don't even necessarily need one with a keyboard, but a working floppy drive would be nice.

US only I imagine due to shipping costs.

Thanks.

I have one, with keyboard and all covers, no floppy drive. I'm in Denmark, Europe though, but get in touch if you get stuck.

I have a badly yellowed case.  No kb or floppy.  I doubt the covers are there.  Maybe you should hold me in reserve, someone else can probably offer better.

Have a few I would be happy to excise from my garage for the cost of shipping.  What case condition you need?

The nicest you're willing to give away for the cost of shipping would work ;)

If you've really got a lot of yellow ones, I'd take one of those to get it out of your way in return for the favor of the low price.  If you've got a nice looking one you're not too attached to, I'd be glad to pay a little extra (I like painting, but nothing's quite as good as a nice clean original finish.) Bottom and side covers would be nice to have as well.

The parts I actually need are the case and a floppy drive (I can also find the drive seperately if you don't have spares,) anything else you don't want to bother taking out (KB, dead board) I of course wouldn't mind taking as well.

Thanks alot.

I really don't think I have a working floppy drive, but if I have one I'll ship it as well.  I'm modifying all my systems for HD drives, so I should have a working DD or two available.

Gimme until Saturday to dig through everything.  I probably have two or three full 500 cases I can send your way.  Let me know if you want any boards, too.  I believe I have a number of Rev 5s, most without chips, some with chips and maybe working.

I'll buy a case off you if you have any extras.  Doesn't matter if it's yellow or gross looking.
