I was looking at pricing on SD cards and I wondered why Ultra memory cards cost $7.99 while while other cards cost $15 dollars or more. I noticed that the ULTRA cards didn't have content protection (CPRM) and some of the cards that do cost more. I asked around on other boards what the difference is and they say that I'm paying for the copy protection or a license to protect the digital rights of others and that it should work just as good except that it won't have copy protection.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_Protection_for_Recordable_MediaI'm going to try ULTRA because I don't pay for music online and I'm going to see how well it works. Maybe this tip can help you save money but if you have Itunes or something else, this card may not be for you.
