A bunch of people expressed interest in an amiga keyboard; I only have one left for sale currently; here it is:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:11&item=320095402815

this does not have the left amiga key-- instead has a commodore key which does the same thing.

if you want the simulated version:

Anyone interested in a Toshiba 3480CT to use as a keyboard/mouse/joystick simulator see:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:11&item=320100113226

I can set it up so it autoboots right into the simulator.

Although the battery runs for 50 minutes-- that's with the LCD on Super Bright and processor at always at full speed (700Mhz).  If you only use it for simulation, you probably won't need the screen to be on and for keyboard/joystick/mouse simulation, the 700Mhz is waste of battery charge.

Someone asked regarding the weight of using PCs to simulate peripherals; well this slim notebook weighs less than an Amiga 2000/4000 keyboard.  And if you use the AC adapter rather than the battery, the notebook becomes even lighter (and smaller since it attaches to the back).

And if you rely on the battery rather than AC, your keyboard/mouse will go into stand-by mode when the battery is about to run out.  I currently have hibernate disabled.

>Can you please ask Krishna or perhaps some of the other >gods to get AOS4 out the door and on some hardware cause >my god just ain't listing to me.

In relation to simulations and Krishna, here's something for you:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320102921035

It's currently Windows-based CD, and will give you more insight into nature of God.  I normally don't auction this CD since people usually buy it at selling price, but since many people are new to "Krishna", here's your chance to get it.

I recently tested the cable by using it in reverse-- hooking up an Amiga/Atari joystick to the PC via the parallel port.  I am talking about this cable:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320235445856

It's the same cable but you just need to add a DB9-DB9 Male-to-Male gender bender, and write the following code:

Mov DX,37Ah
Mov AL,24h
Out DX,AL
Sub DX,2
In  AL,DX

Now, AL will contain the value of the digital joystick hooked up to the cable via the gender bender.  Much faster than reading the PC joystick at port 201h (what to speak of going through the Windows API).

I updated the MPDOS Pro a little bit (1.00B now versus 1.00A) to include floppy drive instruction prediction so if you have a bad motherboard that can at least read track zero of the floppy drive or your parallel port on your PC is less than 1 MB/second, you can still at least read the boot track and then upload your own software:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320255359906

You have to select the "slow LPT" mode to enable the prediction method where the software will only transfer data to the amiga and not constantly monitor commands from the amiga thus halving the data rate transfer requirements.  Also the pointers/variables are now DWORD aligned that seems to make things more efficient than WORD alignment.  If you already have the MPDOS Pro 1.00A, you an email me for the (free) upgrade...

Sorry about the website, mirror site is:

http://www.mpdos.com

Register.com seems to go berzerk every few months or so either for emails or websites.  Anyone know how to modify the settings so I don't have to keep phoning them?  I see the following in my account:

ADVANCED TECHNICAL SETTINGS
Edit IP Address (A Record)
Edit Domain Alias (CNAME)
Edit MX Record
Edit TXT (SPF) Record
Edit PTR Record
Edit SRV Record

Manage Registered Name Servers

I tried to set CNAME to go from amiga.krishnasoft.com to krishnasoft.com/sps.htm but it states "/" is not allowed.
