OK, since my "Dell 2407WFP" thread isn't going anywhere (really, nobody has one of these GREAT screens? they are fantastic, but I had to give mine up - long story, and the sucky part is that I never got to try my Amiga on it). So anyhow, I'm asking for your assistance:

If you have *used* an TFT and hooked an Amiga to the *VGA* input port (no SCART please, as I won't easily find one in the USA), and you could see the native video modes (aka: they worked - that means the monitor supports scan-doubling from 15Khz to 31Khz), and lastly said TFT was 24+ inches, please tell me brand and model and any details (which modes worked, if it fixed flicker, etc.) you may have! I would greatly appreciate it because I want to buy one, right away.

TFT TVs are fine too, as long as they are high resolution (1920x1200+), but I don't want anything bigger than 30 inches.

Thanks!

PS. I do NOT want to use a scan-doubler with it.
PS. I want it primarily for viewing demos and playing games (and yes I have C= CRTs, but don't have the room on the desk). For WB work, I can use a graphics card.

Isn't something that wide going to make your games look like crap if it does work at all?  Except for a tiny few games for the Amiga, they are all 320x200 for NTSC games and 320x256 for PAL versions.  I would imagine that they would look so pixelated on a huge LCD.  Maybe if it is also a TV with composite input and does the scaling for you, but I don't know about your idea.

Send a picture if you find one and it scales the display well for those games of yours, I would like to see it.

I have a very old 27" diagonal Sony TV that may get turned into a display for my CD32 w/SX32 Pro, an old VCR for VHS tapes, my Sons PS2 and old XBox (if I can fix it).  That will give me a good excuse to buy a 50" or larger wide screen TV when the mandatory HDTV goes into effect next February.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)
