Australian based Amiga user groups
« on: March 22, 2008, 09:06:35 AM »
Hi everyone, I was wondering how many people on amiga.org are part of an Australian based user group? I'm from Sydney and was wondering if there were any still going at the moment in the area.

Here is one I found earlier, I'm not sure what it will be like though. For $5 I thought I'd give it a spin.

I was about to reply with Maug, but then read you were in Sydney.

There is very much a community of Amiga groups/Retro Groups here in the Eastern States.

Maug
Saug
RetroBrad had a meet in Ballarat back in November.

I took my Minimig to Retrobrad, and chances are, will be again to Maug in the near future.

I wish there was an Amiga user group in Northern NSW, Gold Coast or Brisbane! I've noticed there are a lot of Amiga users in Australia both on this board and on other Amiga boards and IRC channels. Why don't we have a convention some time?

SAUG is small, but still chugging along.
Next meeting is Sun 18th May, Epping community centre,
down the driveway at the right hand side.

Usually a few A-ones, classics, etc.

See you there perhaps?
