@Amigakit,

What is your estimated cost on that scandoubler?  Hopefully, it will not be eBay auction pricing :pissed:.  Because, I would like two for both my A1200s. :-D

It should be priced at US $185 for US customers- lower cost than typical Ebay prices with a full warranty and new features never seen before in any A1200 scandoubler.

We will publish the details on the www.amigakit.com webstore in the next few weeks.

I'd be interested in finding out what price these are as I'd rather not have to pay through the nose for something.

What new features are in the Scandoubler that arent in the other models?

 The new scandoubler is made by Jens Schoenfeld, aka Individual Computers. For more information, read this thread.

 Also, there is another SD from an US guy, 65 bucks, IIRC. But it is 16bit (= loss of color quality on AGA systems). Read the very same  thread (from the beginning).
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

@phill25

The Picasso IV has a built in scan doubler built in but the Z4 busboard needs a video slot enabler to be able to use that feature.

Thanks for the link and thanks for the advice on the graphics card :)  How much might a Picasso 4 set me back?

If the bidding goes above £100 I'm gonna be in trouble cos I shouldnt be bidding on it!  :lol:  We'll see what happens tho :)

You'll struggle to get a broken one for under a hundred.

There's a broken one on Ebay now. Starts at 25 Euros - you "only" need to solder the Cirrus Logic chip back on  :-)

I wouldnt have a clue on how to solder anything :(  I wouldnt want to break it more than it already was!!

If I cant manage to find what I'd like at the price I can afford (ish) then I'll just have to leave it :)

 Instead a Zorro-based expansion bus, look for a Mediator, then!

 Ability to use inexpensive PCI cards (ethernet, Soundblaster, video capture cards, Voodoo, S3 Virge or Radeon 9200)...
