If your genuinely interested PM me for photos and make an offer if not sold I,ll put it on Ebay. No time wasters or tyre kickers or pedantic plonkers who think they know everything, and sorry I Wont take mothers in law as a part offer.

I'm no tyre kicker or time waster, so not screwing around with making offers...name your price and if I want it I'll tell you :-D

Yeah, name a ball-park price and I'm sure you'll get some genuine responses.

Thing is it's hard to tell what people want for old gear.

One person might think it's worth $500, the other $1500...

I'd say about $500, but then I'm the sort of person who's reluctant to shell out big bucks on aging boxes...

And if you get low offers, you may feel insulted, I don't know...

Just my $0.02...

Cheers,

Mike.

I think you're right Mingle. $500 would be an insult. Especially with a Mediator PCI 3/4000T retailing for $280 on it's own. A stock A4000T wouldn't sell for under $500 IMHO. As a private sale, I wouldn't know where to start, but on the auction sites you can guarantee to get $600-800 for an Amiga 4000 on its own, and possibly quite a bit more. Add a few goodies like a Mediator PCI 3/4000T and you'd be lucky to get it under $1000. I'm guessing it's going to take three significant figures to get bigmac's interest.
A500, A600, A1200, A2000, A4000D, A4000T, CD32

I can see both your points, someone like me who has only recently come back to the Amiga will have no idea how much to offer for this and may inadvertedly make a laughable offer (I did).

Reminds me of a mate about 20 years ago who had spent about $20k on his Monaro... he couldn't get more than a few grand for it...

Hi! Guys sorry about the tyre kickers etc but it did grab your attention right :-D Just to end the speculation as to its worth I,ll give you all a clue. So far I,ve had two offers the best one being $1000.00 which is pretty fair but just short of my estimate of what its all worth so heres the go Please read carefully The first one to make an offer of $1100.00 wins the prize.I know its a lot of mullah but if I put it on fleabay I know I would get a lot more the way things are at the moment just thought I would offer it here first.Any way I will leave it with you till tuesday before putting it up for auction.
Seeya :-D
