AmiCDFS install problem
« on: February 29, 2008, 06:59:13 PM »
I'm trying to get AmiCDFS working on a new install
of OS 3.1 on my A2000 w/2091 SCSI card.

I've never installed AmiCDFS before so its all new to me.
I've followed the install guide (I think) but the CD Rom
isn't working (CD Rom is good).
What I'm getting is the machine is very slow to boot
and when its up I get a requester, ........

"Program 'WBStart-Handler' has not returned.
Should I wait some more?"

Clicking 'OK' just brings up the requester again after a
few seconds.
Clicking 'Cancel' just finishes the WB screen and everything
seems ok.

Putting a disk in the rom drive brings up an Icon saying
"CD0 Not a Dos device"

It been awhile, (I've been away from my Amiga for awhile).
But it seems to me there should be a mount list mounting
the different devices.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Only follow the section about installing on WB 2.0 or higher. Remove everything related to WB 1.3 and below.

Basically you only need to copy AmiCDFS to L: and to copy CD0 to Devs:DosDrivers. Then edit CD0 in order to fill in the name of your SCSI driver (aka device) and the SCSI ID (aka unit) of your CD drive.
