Yep, but that MC68060RC50 also need some serious soldering. I think that it's possible to get away with a of-the-shelf developer board with softcore cpu.

Btw, who sold those 50 EUR CPUs?

I recognised the picture of kate bush after seeing her video on youtube, it's a pity we cannot attach audio files to the avatar so we could hear her beautiful song "army dreamers" every time we read darrin's posts.

It's easier than the current Xilinx. Plus if they are getting mass produced.

I think that it's possible to get away with a of-the-shelf developer board with softcore cpu.

1)There is only a 68k softcore cpu atm. (and it is still being debugged.
2)FPGA will be too small/slow for top end 68k cpus + Amiga.
3)Developer boards have crappy 4-bit or 10-bit VGA out. Neither suitable for Amiga.

A guy in Germany, through Ebay. They were (I think) pull's from old telecoms equipment. Or maybe he worked for Freescale? They were MC68060RC50's rev6 E41J. Rodolphe of the CT60 (Atari ST accelerator) got his from this guy. They sold at various prices "buy it now" prices ranging from 30 euro to 75 euro. I bought two in a regular auction for €43 each (+ p&p)

Kate's music is very much an acquired taste which does not appeal to everybody - like all music. but this is not the place for a discussion on music.

Yes.  I've always been a big Kate Bush fan since her first album "The Kick Inside".   :-D

As pointed out below, it's from the song "Army Dreamers".  OK, it's a bit anti-military, but I'll forgive her if she gives me a kiss.

Not even if I mention that "Kate Bush's The Whole Story" was the first music VideoCD I ever bought and it was for my CD32+FMV?  That's kind of Amiga related.

This is Amiga related:  Just before reading this thread, I was copying my MP3: drive to another partition, and I happened to notice the "Copying Kate Bush" requester and thought it was kind of a weird concept.  What is this 'synchronicity' stuff anyway...

I wouldn't even know who Kate Bush was if it wasn't for Peter Gabriel.  (That's not Amiga related)
