I need a working Amiga (in the U.S.)
« on: February 05, 2008, 08:53:32 PM »
I'm looking for a functional Amiga so that I can read my old floppies.  It could be any type.  My A1200 has a motherboard problem related to the keyboard and its too costly for me to have it repaired right now (I'm unemployed).

I'm looking for something that is free or very cheap.  Maybe something that is in your closet or basement that you are willing to part with!

I'm in Iowa (I can pay for shipping from within the U.S.).

Mark

Cheap or free? That's pretty much out of the question, cheapest will be an A500. Don't expect more then that.

Unemployed poorness, perhaps, is not the best time to spend looking at old disks.

Amigakit has refurbished A1200 motherboards for $65.
May also want to do an ebay search.

Mark,

Are there any corn fed Amiga users groups up that way? Perhaps you could just go to a meeting and read/transfer the floppies.
