Terminus is nice,
or, if you want something more advanced and complicated use PC2Amiga, smbfs,  FTP.. etc
Better sorry than worry.

Amiga Explorer gets my vote, very easy to set up and use.

Use the best: Linux for servers, Mac for graphics, Windows for Solitaire.

Another old trusted tool is twinexpress:
TwinExpress

A little dated, but rock solid..

Ahh, found my serial cable :-)

I may be dumb, but...
I can't figure out how to use twinexpress

PC2Amiga wants to use com2 on my pc, I configured it for com1 (my only com port)

AmigaExplorer works fine, but can only transfer files up to 1kb (I should sergently consider registering!!)

Can't use ftp, because only my A4k has a netcard. But ftp works great with my A4k :-)

Suggestions?

If the speed is most important (and on serial it usually is), then use some terminal program with ZMODEM transfer. it will most "efficiently" use hardware.
Also, try some replacement for serial.device such as: baudbandit, artser, 8n1...
Better sorry than worry.

My problem are not the amiga side, WinXP configuration on old DOS programs sucks.

Yes, I tried different speeds (same on both sides!) but no, still not working..

I know the connection works, because AmigaExplorer works. The 1kb file limit is because the program are unregistered. (Yes, my fault)

I should register, then it works. But, a free program would be preffered.
