Hmm - interesting.

I managed to pic up a generic 15" lcd tv a while back, which has a scart, vga, composite and aerial connections.  Happily copes with amiga native output on scart...

...and dblpal mode etc on VGA.  Unfortunately on this one it doesn't sync down to 15Khz on vga, which is a shame - so its either swap cables all the time or create some sort of switch box.  Frustrating when I know the screen can do 15Khz on the other connections.  :-?

The screen you mention seems to be a modified/slightly different model to it.

Make sure to check the panel specs at prad.de, as you probably don't wan't the typical 6 bit/pixel+dithering for AGA. (Looks like ass IMHO.)

These theoretical discussions have been going round and round for months, maybe years. Let's try to cut through the Bull right now-

Does anybody anywhere actually have, in their possesion, an LCD monitor that will accept Amiga RGB (NOT composite) input and display it correctly, as physically tested by them with a real Amiga?

If so, where are you, what model LCD, and what interface are you using?

I have come to suspect the answer to this may be the null set :(

-PLEASE prove me wrong!

Yes, my 15" TFT tv accepts an RGB signal through the scart connection, works with both ntsc and pal.  Tested using an A4000, and an A1200 (+ various consoles )

It also has a vga connection which allows for a max of 1024x768 screen res, and works with double pal/ntsc (although may need the "vga only" monitor as well for the tweaked settings).

If you have a gfx card, you could plug the native rgb to the scart, and the gfx card to the vga, and switch between inputs as required on the tv.  Res is pretty poor by monitor standards though.

Bought it from a local Tesco store in the uk.  Its a "Technosonic 15" LCD TV", model LCD5015.  Knowing how these brands are in the likes of tesco, it's probably a rebranded bulk model.

Its great for older consoles and amiga normal mode though.  Interlace modes still flicker like mad though.

The vast majority of UK LCDTV's work fine with Amiga RGB via SCART input. You can pick them up in your local supermarket for under £150

Quite a lot only have 16-bit scandoublers though.
