Workbench Background
« on: September 28, 2007, 05:58:01 PM »
Hi,
I've converted a few pictures to use as backgrounds under WB3.1. Thing is I've used the IFF file format, which compared to some of the formats of today is not quite as good.
Does 3.1 support any other formats natively? Can I get 3.1 to support JPEG and convert using that standard?
The IFF's are ok but they are still quite big files and the quility although acceptable still shows it's age a little.
Thanks in advance.

There is no reason why an IFF should look any different to a PNG or JPEG equivalent.

IFF supports 24bit images, so for speed, my suggestion would be to convert the JPEG you wish to use for your background to IFF24.

Kind regards,
James
