Hi,

Out of interest: Why would you want to get this as opposed to a PCI mediator? Is there any specific benefit? I thought that ZIV cards were rare and expensive.

Becuase then you have got zorro 2 slots and pcci slots in an A1200

Fair enough, but what would you want to use the zorro slots for, when you could use PCI cards? (Please excuse my ignorance, I am new at this).

There has only been two Z4 cards made, which is the Z4 mediator and the Z4 powerflyer

two of the zorro slots are double speed Z2 slots, not sure there are many cards that can take advantage of this.

Certainley never used themm on my Z4

My Delfina Lite was the main reason I bought ZIV+MediatorZIV instead normal Mediator after my original MicroniK's ZorroII busboard. Soundblasters can't decode mp3 with hardware.

I also needed to use MFC3 serial¶llel expansion card in zorro. There are probably many other useful zorro cards, which don't have equivalents on PCI (at least drivers).

And then I used my old CV64/3D gfx-card in Zorro for a while... with Voodoo3 on PCI simultaneous

But anyway, the Delfina was THE reason and ZIV boards were almost free as new at that time too, so not much extra costs.
