Mediator with GVP A1230

Heya,

I just recently got a Mediator SX rev. 1 (colored dots on the chips) for my A1200 tower, DBOX 1200. I'm using a GVP A1230 Turbo II+ 2x4MB=8MB GVP ram.

For some reason when I boot with the GVP, only the GVP shows up in early startup and showconfig. If I boot without the GVP connected then the mediator shows up in early startup and showconfig. I've set the jumpers on the mediator the way the manual says and tried different combos. I also took out the memory. I can't get both to work together.

Has anyone else run into this type of problem using the A1230?

Yep, but I haven't got a reply. I was wondering if anyone else here had this problem.

I got this response from Elbox through Amigakit support:

"It looks that this GVP A1230 card is from the series, which does not allow
to configure any other cards in the Zorro space. We had some reports that
there was a batch of GVP card, which have such "feature". If this is
a card from this batch it will also not work with any Zorro II or
Zorro IV busboard.

We have not had any GVP A1230 card in our office. Maybe they are equipped
with a jumper (soldered or not on the board), which determines if this turbo
card allows or not to configure any other boards during the Amiga
autoconfig cycles."

I thought this might of been the problem before I sent the ticket and tried all the jumpers and didn't get it to work, maybe there is so combo of jumpers? I don't have the manual anymore.

If anyone has the manual or knows what each jumper does please let me know.
