TermiteTCP
« on: August 28, 2007, 08:31:14 PM »
According to the packing slip in the box, I bought
TermiteTCP 1.21 in 1996, I was looking around on the internet and saw somewhere that the last version was 1.6.
Does anyone know if there is an upgrade patch out there somewhere?

Also is there a way to get termite to work with a network card instead of a serial/dialup connection?

Whatever happend to the 68K version of Roadshow that was
supposed to be released?

If its a generic TCP stack you might be able to use it with a net card... if its specifically a SLIP or PPP package though, you're outta luck. There are a few free TCP stacks you can get on AmiNet though, like AmiTCP, and I think Miami.

You are right, last version was 1.60! I believe there is an update on Aminet, but i remember that the last updates of Termite TCP were commercial, with a discount if you had previous versions, but they were not free for users with old versions.
On the other hand, it only allowed dial-up connections, it had no SANA support. The advantages of using it, were that it was very easy to use and required very little resources (min requirements: 2.04 and 1MB ram) compared to other stacks.

Yeah, it worked great with a dialup, I used it
for years 'till my original A3000D died, the
updates I found on AMiNet only go up tp 1.2.

I was hoping the 1.6 might have added support
 for SANA Drivers.
