I managed to get a Viper 520 (8MB model) last week on eBay from Germany! I placed it in my A500+ this weekend and it thankfully survived the trip from Germany in perfect condition. This is the first time that I had seen a Viper 520 on eBay in the 1-2 years that I've been looking for one. That doesn't necessarily mean there has never been one in the meantime, but I've been looking pretty hard and often. Needless to say I jumped on it and paid a good sum, because they are pretty scarce and offer a nice set of features. The price I paid (250 euros) was actually for a complete A500 including Viper 520 and HDD.
Ofcourse I am also keeping an eye out for the Viper 530, which is seeming to be more and more something of a Holy Grail. Supposedly there was a broken Viper 530 on eBay a couple of years ago and it still went for 150+ euros!
Anyways, if you keep your eyes peeled a Viper 520 will certainly cross your path, although it make take some time and cost you. But as far as the 530 goes, I've yet to see one in the wild although I do believe they are out there. Anyone on these boards have a Viper 530 (including photographs)?
(BTW, I tried uploading 2 photos of my new Viper to the gallery, but it looks like the upload mechanism is broken or something :-( )
