A3000, MUI and Genesis
« on: July 04, 2007, 09:04:08 PM »
I installed a 4-gig hd in my "new" A3000.  I installed WB3.1, AsimCDFS, then MUI and Genesis from CD and rebooted.  Although it all appears correctly installed, Genesis Wizard, GenesisPrefs and Genesis will not load for me.

When I tried the Wizard I got this msg: "Could not create MUI application".  Nothing happens for the others.

I did not reboot after installing MUI and before installing Genesis.  I rebooted after both were installed.  Should this matter?

Can anyone help me get Genesis going?  I have an ethernet connection thru an AMD emachine.

Thanks in advance.

God made apes, but he used a human to do it.
Man fit the plan, apes are here to prove it.

Yes god made apes but a human supplied the glue.

AMIGAZ:  A good idea, but to do so I need to be able to download snoopdos and unlha, neither of which I can do without getting online.  And unlha would require unlha-ing without having unlha installed.  See the dilemma?

Then I'd need to know what snoopdos was telling me.  I've never used it.

Any other suggestions, anyone?

No.

Download lha self extracting binary (lha.run) and the stuff needed on the PC. Move the stuff over locally.

Piru:

I'd never heard of lha.run.  Thanks, I look forward to trying it.  I'm trying to find what else to take from aminet, saving it and will burn a cd.  Any suggestions for an A3000?

be seeing you
