CD32
« on: June 21, 2007, 02:23:55 PM »
Not sure if this is the best place to put this but as the CD32 is a games machine I guess it is ok...

Where would be the best place to get hold of a CD32 in the UK?  Am I doomed to "hope for the best" on ebay or is there anywhere else I could go to?  I would like a decent one (would love an unused one but that's probably impossible).

Thanks

Some Chinese dude on Ebay is selling new in box CD32s, apparently he's got a whole warehouse full of them. Although I'm a little suspicious, he hasn't got any negative feedback on the ones he's sold already.

Shipping costs are a bit steep though, and they are a US versions (110V, NTSC).

@ McVenco

Thanks for the info - I'll have a look , although more for curiosity as I would need a UK psu.

I wonder if Analogic have them too?

Nice! I've seen cheaper ones (even NIB), but I guess you'll save some on shipping since it's within the UK.

Enjoy!

@ Evillord68

Thanks foe the link!  I had a look but could only see NTSC versions.  The price I think was something like 149 Euros which is about £80 or so isn't it?  The one I have will cost £79 including post nd packing so I am happy.

Thanks anyway - it is handy to know about Vesalia.de as I have not seen that site before.

Cheers

I'd love to know how many CD32s are in that warehouse. They've been selling them on eBay for a couple of years now, so they're slowly getting out there. For this reason, any new CD32 software we bring out will have an NTSC option, for owners of these new NTSC CD32s.
Amiga user forever.

For some reason I would even believe that Vesalia has the same stock as that German/Hong Kong person on Ebay. I mean, they are both 110V NTSC machines, both NIB. :-)

And now I've got one too! Bought it last week and it arrived yesterday, with LOADS of games, only the joypad is a bit worn out, so I'll have to find a replacement for it... I'll hook it up to my TV this weekend and will probably be occupied for a few months :-D
