I'm using an interesting solution.
I have a nice HDTV, so instead of going for something vga, I decided to go component video as the TV has two of those inputs. There are Amiga RGB to SCART cables everywhere.
Then I picked up an SCART to component converter from Lenexpo for $99 delivered. comes with the hardware in a nice small box, power supply, and component cables.
http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/The image is softer than vga (more like the original amiga rgb on a 1084) but it goes to 1080 horizontal resolution and flicker is 100% unnoticeable in interlace modes.
