A1000 with 256k extra, ROM 1.3 almost for free
« on: March 06, 2007, 11:48:47 PM »
Hi ppl!

I just saw this A1000 in the :rtfm:Ebay: US$ 10.50 for a complete, working, ROM 1.3 and 256k extra RAM.

If the seller send this to Brazil, I will bought it! But I think he don't... :-(

So hurry up!
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.

A1000s always seem to be dirt cheap in the US!

But that one, although boxed, is missing part of its front and also has some odd yellowing on the back...

It isn't missing the cover, I think he removed it to show off the 256k expansion attachment.  If you look at the next pictures, it has the cover.

Also, the yellowing appears to be part of a sheer shadow cast from the window.

If it was Buy It Now at $10, I'd say it would be worth raving about, but an auction with current bid at $10.49 with 2 days left on it is like me saying "Wow look at that 911 Turbo on eBay Motors, for just $10,500!"

Judging by the last few A1000's in similar shape on eBay lately, that one will end I'd say in the $50 ~ $80 range.

My Sister lives in NZ, shall I bid on it for you and have her fit it into her luggage on her next trip to the U.S. for you?
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

I think that brownness on the back is real stuff, not an orange shadow. Still the rest of it looks white city. Talk about a find.

I think it's cool the guy selling it still remembers the ctrl-amiga-amiga thing.

The auction ended at $88.57.  Not a bad prediction from my part, huh?  :-D
