Warp Datatypes
« on: February 28, 2007, 04:41:01 PM »
I see there are several Warp datatypes on Aminet such as WarpJPG.  Does anyone have any experience with these and are they improvements over existing datatypes?  If not these are there any suggestions?  Thanks,   Dan :-)

I've registered the WarpDT datatypes from http://www.warpdt.co.uk/

I can say they're a nice speed boost over the datatypes that come with OS 3.9, also they can make use of a PowerPC processor if you have one, if not there's versions for most CPUs

In the original warpdatatype site, there is a complete database for the speed of the different datatypes.

you can install them for free to make some tests and if you like them you can register.
A3040/25 AmigaOS 3.9
A1260BPPC AmigaOS 3.9/4.0
Sam440ep AmigaOS 4.1.2
PegasosII/G3 AmigaOS 4.1.2/MorphOS 2.7/Debian 5.0.7/SUSE 11.1
MacMini/G4 1.5 MorphOS 2.7/OSX 10.5.8
Long Live Amiga

If i am going to have bugs on my system,
at least let me keep the latest versions.

if you have ppc , it would be a really smart move to register them!
