OS 3.9 Backdrop?
« on: February 10, 2007, 05:06:23 PM »
Does anyone know where I can find the picture that is used as a background picture that has OS 3.9 on it with the boing ball and says Get Boinged?  I see it all the time on screen shots and it is on the CD case that 3.9 comes in but I couldn't find it on the net with good enough resolution to use.   Thanks,   Dan :-?

On the 3.9 CD itself.

In:

OS-Version3.9/Extras/Backdrops/1024X768/Coming Soon.jpg

or

OS-Version3.9/Extras/Backdrops/1024X768/Get It.jpg

They have a small "Coming Soon" / "I'll Get It" on them which can easily be removed with a paint program.  The "I'll Get It" one will be easier to remove as it interferes less with the graphics.

Also, it would be a good idea to rename the file without the space when you copy it to Hard Drive.

Mine came from the CD, not sure which file on the disc, but mine says "Got it!" instead of "coming soon".

Here: http://web.archive.org/web/20030415070211/os.amiga.com/3.9/download/ComingSoon.jpg

It says "Coming soon". There is another one which says "Get it!" and the one from the OS3.9 CD says "Got it!". The latter is installed automatically with OS 3.9. It is in Sys:Prefs/Presets/Backdrops/AOS.jpg

Bye,
Thomas
