GVP's Digital Sound Studio

A few years back, GVP updated their Digital Sound Studio software that came with the DSS8 sound sampler.  My latest version is 2.01.  Did anyone upgrade past this?  What were the improvements?

I thought the latest version was 3.0.  Maybe Gvp allowed modern file requesters.
