Well I bought, downloaded, and played all 6 games for a short bit on my Windows laptop.  The whole purchasing process went very well and then the playing of them went over without a hitch.  I would like to see more of this from Amiga Inc., as well as the new promised hardware/software.

I have to give a thumbs up to Amiga Inc. and Vulcan on this.
Amiga - The fun computer!

Amiga 500 - 3MB, A590, 250MB HD, SupraTurbo28.
Amiga 1200HD - 32MB, 4GB CF-Card, GVP 68030-40Mhz.

Ah, hey how does that "Classic Game Player" work? Is it obviously UAE, or is it something else?

Does the EULA/License/legal-mumbo-jumbo of the "player" app prohibit looking into it? If not, it would be interesting to check it out.

At least some of those games have been ported to windoze, but the wording of the press release suggests the player would actually run the original games. Then again, if the games are x86-native, why would Amiga Inc be involved at all? (The only reason I can think for AInc involvement is that the thing includes KS ROM and/or WB files)

And if KS ROM/WB files are included, this would be ultra-cheap way to obtain them legally...

Well, I haven't delved too deep but it is the classic Amiga game inside some type of emulation.  To exit the game and go back to Windows you press F12.  Each worked just fine on my T43 laptop.  I'll play around with it some more and let you know.

F12 quits DosUAE... :-)

Could be a coincidence, naturally.

I don't get it, Amiga Inc. could have been making money since day one from this kind of thing.  It's a no-brainer.  Did it really take 7 years for this to click?

@ Uncharted:

I think unfortunately it did take this long for it to click.
Sometimes they say, better late than never.
Maybe Bill McWen finally has had the nerve to stick his head out of the sand??

Off topic, click was a good movie.

Cheers!! 8-)  8-)

our systems administrator still is forced to use dos when windows plays up, and man, does it ever play up a lot at our work, and thats XP mind you.

Who ever said windoze was finally multitasking??

Pretty much, I even tell told him this one command to use, and he was like, geeeeeeeeeeeeees, how would you know something like that, your not old??

Anyway, its just interesting how you picked that little detail of the F12 up! 8-)  8-)

You and your admin are lacking in some serious areas.
