Trying to mount PC0: woes!!!
« on: December 29, 2006, 03:15:55 PM »
Ok, here is my setup:

Amiga 500 with 3.1 kickstart rom
Workbench 3.1

I am trying to mount PC0: in order to read a few files off a PC formated disk (720k):

1. Load up workbench
2. Insert storage disk
3. Run Dosdrivers/PC0:

Then I insert the PC disk, and only DF0:??? comes up.

When I type INFO in shell, PC0 does not come up as mounted, but if I try to double click PC0: icon from storage it says device already  mounted  :pissed:

HELP :(

move the PC0 icon from workbench folder storage to workbench folder devs and reboot. then insert 720k pc format disk and it should work.

yes it should be installed with 3.1. try installing again. do you have a hard drive, if not you will have to make a boot disk with the file on the disk.

That is why the device mounts but it can't see any volumes. If CrossDOSFileSystem does not exist in the L drawer of your Workbench floppy, then you will need to get a new one.

It might be in the L drawer on the Storage disk.

Is it not located on the storage disk as well? And be sure to use a backup instead of the orginal WB floppy.
