A few Amiga things I'm selling off on eBay...
« on: December 14, 2006, 02:26:25 AM »
Hi there,

Here are a few items I've posted on eBay...

Squirrel SCSI for Amiga 1200 or Amiga 600

Amiga Forever 2005 Premium Editon

Amiga 2000 Keyboard

A1200 Beginners Pack

A520 TV Modulator

I'm not quitting the Amiga hobby, on the contrary! These are a few items I won't be needing.

Thanks for taking a look!

I found it more convenient to use the PC keyboard and mouse than the Amiga ones as gradually the keyboard built up dust or something that prevented accurate responses to the keypresses and the mouse movement became a bit chaotic due to prolonged use.  This was one reason for developing the peripheral simulator which I have up on ebay currently:

Now, I just plug in my old thinkpad 760 which I got for $50 on Ebay and use it with my Amiga 2000.  Using the trackpoint as an amiga mouse.

That's an interesting device. Thanks for the information. I didn't know this existed. Currently my PCs and Amiga are in separate corners of the room. I am using a Cocolino adapter  with a classic PS/2 mouse that cost me 6$. I am still using an Amiga 2000 keyboard at this time, but I plan to switch to a standard keyboard when that one goes out.

Hi there,

I added a few more things Amiga-related on eBay this weekend:

Catweasel MK4

Voodoo 3 3000 PCI 2D/3D graphics card

Spider 2 USB 2.0 High-Speed PCI Controller

A1200 Beginners Pack (Software and VHS Tape)

Amiga 2.5" TO 3.5" IDE HARD DISK ADAPTER

I have a few more A1200 parts to post on eBay but I might wait until after Christmas.

Click here to see the complete list of my Amiga and non-Amiga thingies on eBay.

Thanks for looking!

Hey! I think I have one of those here in an old PC. I had no idea they were compatible with the Mediator.

Hi Polymorph,

The one I have is from Amigakit.com. I was going to towerize a 1200 last year. I ran into trouble with this project and had someone in Minnesota take a look at it. He just took my 1200 and tower parts and kept them, stopped responding to my calls and emails. So I won't need this video card now that I don't own a 1200.

Factually it does not just do mouse simulation-- I mainly use it for chess-playing and for a multimedia CD so I only require a good mouse (that I'm used to).  The simulator does do keyboard simulation, joystick simulation of various types, and Atari disk drive simulation as well all using one cable.  Here you can probably get it for less than regular price at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:11&item=320063617383

If you add the weight of all the devices it simulates, they would be well over the 4lbs or even 7 lbs laptop.  If you have a laptop that supports an overlay video window, you can replace your composite monitor with the PC-based laptop as well-- now there's a big savings in weight.  MPDOS will support live video window in overlay mode as long as it's Video For Windows compatible.
