I have to respectfully disagree. I'm not telling anyone here anything new but just for discussion, let's review a few things:
1. Ebay is an auction site whose prices are driven by bidder willingness to pay. If you want something bad enough, money is no object.
2. One man's trash is another man's treasure. While there are newer products to be had, for whatever reason, someone out there wants this particular item so see item 1 above.
3. To each their own.
That being said, let me add that as the supply of (working) spare components dries up, prices will go up. It is simply the law of supply and demand. The Picasso IV was (IMO) *THE* finest audio / video combo card of its day for the classic Amiga and many people seem to agree. They want what they knew, not necessarily what is available now. You can find several positive reviews on the net for all things Picasso but you may not find a review for "product X" which is still in production.
It is purely subjective. I would not pay the price listed for this particular item but I would not hold it against the seller or the buyer at auction close. The seller naturally wants as much money as they can get, considering that any amound will be less than what the item cost when new so they are losing any way you look at it (the law of new vs. used).
It is the buyer that sets the price (again, see item #1).
Just my opinion. :-)
