Long boot time A1200 floppy
« on: November 20, 2006, 06:23:50 PM »
I have a 1200 that from cold start seems to take an extra long time to boot from the floppy inside it (about 5 minutes before it kicks into action). It has no hard disk.
And yet once its booted the first time it takes the usual 30 seconds or whatever on a subsequent cold boot. Any ideas? Its a bit annoying  :-?

Sorry that looks a bit misleading. The 1200 in question is not the one in my sig.

If you have kickstart 3.1 in your Amiga 1200, then you have to what a bit longer before the disk will boot. To decrease the delay you have to fit a hard drive in it.
