SCSI Termination on A3000
« on: October 05, 2006, 12:10:29 PM »
Hi Gang.

Would someone be able to tell me what pin is pin number one on the three internal scsi termination points on the A3000 motherboard?

I need to put them back on the mb (they were never there when I got the beast).
Amiga 3000: Towered, 12Mb Ram, 9Gig SCSI Hd, Retina BLT Z3, X-Surf, OS3.1
Amiga 4000D: Warp Engine \'040 40Mhz, 150mb Ram, CyberVision 64/4, X-Surf, OS3.9

Pin 1 of the sockets should have a square solder point.

I'd recommend using an external terminator (esp. an active one) - much easier if you connect external devices every once in a while.

On some A3ks the term power diode is reversed which pretty much disables proper termination, no matter if active or passive (it does work if the SCSI device supplies term power). While you're at it: check pin 25 of the external port for 5V (from the A3000 guide).
