Saw this publication on a very old amiga mailing list:

As owner of Frankenstein Software, I will offer the the opportunity to purchase all rights (including source code) to our current strategy titles at the conclusion of our Clearance Sale (3/31/97):

Mongol Commander, an operational/tactical simulation of the campaigns of Genghis Khan and the Mongols (1206-1405). [12MB harddisk space, 3MB RAM 68030 CPU required]

BravoRomeoDelta, a hypothetical realtime, global-scale, limited nuclear war simulation in the 1992 time frame. [1MB RAM 1MB disk space, all Amigas]

PowerFootball, a compact (512K) strategy/arcade American football simulation. [512K, all Amigas]

In addition, I will include the developer's notes and research materials for a proposed simulation of the American Indian Wars--Crazy Horse (1850-1890), which was to use the Mongol Commander game system.

Additional information can be obtained from the Frankenstein Software Web Page in the Preferred Vendor section at www.cucug.org

Prices are open to negotiation, so if you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible...

I know I'm nearly ten years late; but I'm trying to track down Jack Rollan, and he's a very tricky guy to locate; I'm just wondering if you amiga fanatics could help me.

PS; yes, I'm interested in Bravo Romeo Delta; apparently there was a v3.0 released in 1995, which allowed 2,000+ warheads in the air simultaneously   ; and the Amiga version (which I ordered off ebay) was better than the DOS version in many aspects.

I love a good internet hunt. And you're right, there isn't much to go on. I see the old telephone number in New York was still valid up to at least 1997. Did you try that?

This next part is kinda off topic and being pulled from old memory, and may not be 100% accurate.....

I also read that RAW entertainment was the distributor. That explains alot. RAW was set up in the US (Arizona if I recall) by a nice Aussie chap to distribute software titles made by what I called at the time "bedroom developers". Two things killed RAW in my opinion. First, bad timing. RAW came online just as Commodore was closing down. I recall in one conversation that at least one of the developers either delayed or canceled delivery of one or more titles after Commodore declared bankruptcy. It was a hard blow to a small operation. Second, I spoke with RAW many times on the phone. Though I thought they were nice folks, I had the impression thier business plan was just not realistic for the market at that time. I offered what I thought were helpful ideas, but I was dismissed since I wasn't "in the business". No hard feeling though. I just wished I could have helped.

This last part is speculation given the conversations I had at the time. I don't really know the end of the story.

I'm guessing in the end there were too many problems and too little income to sustain RAW. The founder's visa ran out and he was forced to pack it up and move back to Oz. That left little guys like Frankenstein Software who had hooked up with RAW without a home. Too bad really, RAW had some nice titles lined up that I was interested in buying but maybe code was not 100% complete and the titles never saw the light of day.  If any one still has any of the old Amiga World Magazines from around spring to fall of 1996, you may be able to find some of the ads for titles that RAW had planned to release.

It's been so long I can't recall the name of RAW's owner. Perhaps he's out there reading this. :-) Give a shout if so. Matter of fact I think I'll post a separate thread.
