A2000, 8 MB + graphics board = problems?
« on: August 24, 2006, 10:26:00 PM »
I have an A2000 with a 2630 turbo board. The turbo board has 4 MB installed and I have 4 MB memory Zorro card.

If I add a 4 MB graphics board, can I use it at the same time as the memory board or will I have to subtract 4 MB from my system.

I have some distant memories from Amiga Format about the A2000 only capable of maximum 8 MB on the Zorro cards.

I think yes you would have to remove the 4MB memory card.  Sadly the A2630 maps its memory in the 24bit address space and it is 8MB max.  I had this problem back in the day with my A2000, A2630 and Picasso II card.

Too bad for me! Guess I need to track down a Blizzard board for my A2000. I suspect A2630 cards are not in high demand anymore then?
