Yo...

Just been adding a 2.5" hd to a stock A1200 KS 3.0.

It did not recognise 3/4 drives at all.. Even one i pulled from my 4000. finally got it to see a 4.3gb Toshiba..

Will upgrading to KS 3.1 make any difference??

Thanks.

First check if the HDD is recognised after a reset (Ctrl-A-A). If not, cut the reset line of the HDD cable (the one connected to pin 1 of the motherboard) and check again if it is recognised after a reset.

If any of the above was successful then Kick 3.1 could help.
