Finding the right network card
« on: August 03, 2006, 10:46:10 AM »
Hey all,

I've got a few PC network cards lying around and I want to attach one to a GRex.  The hardware compatability list states you can use:

Realtek RTL 8029(AS) chipset
Realtek RTL 8139C chipset
Longshine LCS-8034TB-E chipset
Longshine LCS-8038TX-R chipset

Is there any way of telling what chipset a network card is by simply looking at it, so I can tell if it's one of the above?

Cheers

Thanks for that image.

I've had a look at the ones I've got and none of them seem to say that.

Looks like I might have to pick one up from Amigakit.
