Delayed mouseclicks
« on: August 03, 2006, 10:20:43 AM »
Has anyone the same experience: I have several Amiga's. On some of them (mostly the expanded ones) I have delayed mouseclicks. That is, if I push a mousebutten, it may take a second or so before the button or the windows on screen turns blue also. On a plain A500 I do not have this problem. Swapping mouses does not solve that, although it sometimes seems to change the behaviour a little bit.

Hmmm, that seems pretty unusual, unless you were running Windows, of course.

I would strongly suspect a rogue commodity or another background program that might be adding event handlers to the system.

The best way to find the culprit is to remove the programs you run automatically at startup and then add them in one by one until the problem shows itself. Maybe one of the background programs is conflicting with another.

I used to get this occasionally with ToolsDaemon installed..  it stopped happening eventually though, whether I stopped using that program, or upgraded to a newer version, I don't remember.

hi

I'd suggest booting with your workbench floppy and see what happens...
Desktop A1200
Blizzard 1230 Accelerator with 32megs ram
2.5\\" 4.85 Gig HDD
Teac 32x CDRom Drive
2 External Floppy Drives
