I've replaced my 17" CRT with a 19" LCD with SCART and VGA input and no longer neeed my scan doubler. So I'm
selling
my barely used toastscan scandoubler on e-bay. Works great. Please PM me if you have questions.

Usually SCART will come on multi-system TV sets/VCRs/Monitors, even if sold in N. America, as in this case they make one product for the entire world and use the same specs/features.

I bought a
Samsung Syncmaster 940mw
at Best Buy for $389. It is a multi-system TV and has Scart/DVI/VGA/S-VHS/Composite inputs. The 15khz modes are not as nice as a CRT due to scaling issues, e.g. 320x200 looks blocky up close (my son actually demanded I put back the CRT because the image on the LCD wasn't as good). Using productivity modes though the VGA connector is pretty good though. I'm pretty satisfied seeing how it's near impossible to get a multi-sync CRT that does 15khz.

I have a LG studio works 22" CRT monitor that I bought a year ago that has SCART, VGA and DVI inputs.
So these monitors are available in North America.
The one question I have is How do you go about outputting a SCART signal from the Amiga?

Yeah I was able to use my Amiga 500 with my 42" Plasma HDTV using the VGA input and the VGA adaptor. PAL would not sync right but NTSC was solid and stable! Pretty cool.

outputting a SCART from Amiga?
its already SCART, you just need to connect right pins, that is assuming you got 'full RGB' SCART. (in worst case you would use composite out from Amiga.)
you'll easily find pinouts on net.
