A4000 gone dead - part two
« on: July 12, 2006, 09:06:35 PM »
Hi foks,

I thought I would start a new thread now that I have finally manged to eliminate the psu as the cause of system failure. (By connecting a ATX psu via A4000 adapter, everything as the previous thread [A4000 gone dead].

So its back to the drawing board, I will try to rechck all sockted chips (again) since one feedback I rxd. suggested Kickstrt faiure = flashing power led.

I have a spare set of A1200 3.0 roms, can I use these in th A4000 just to eliminate the roms??

many thanks, Ian

Hi,

Nope the roms will not work in your amiga 4000. Get some friend to help you but i don't think the roms are the prob. But then again it is hardware and it can faulty.

Hi Henk,

ok thanks for that, it seemed a good idea .........

I guess you may be right about the problem not being the roms but it would have been nice to eliminate them.

anyone got a spare A400 mb?

You could pmail me about that or any other thoughts you might have without clogging up this forum.

ta, Ian.
