Hi, I have a Amiga 1200 with a external scsi hardrive and cdrom connected using a squirrel card slot.
The hardrive has recenley had a few boot blocks errors and ive tried a a prog quaterback tools to try and fix it but it didnt seen to have much effect on fixing it.
now i cant get any access to this hardrive would the hardrive be on the way out.
it used to keep working most of time even tho the message came up about a boot block. errors.
anyhow tho i like to try to savage what i have on this drive if possible it doesnt matter to much.
I have recenley brought anothre external scsi box with a seagate 2 GB hardrive fitted. but i cant seem to get the drive to regonise in the amiga. (ive forgoten a bit of the commands and amigas ways of workins) but as i can rememeber u just used to hdtools to format the drive and that was about it.
if anybody can give me a step by step dummys guide to do this would be great.
i know the hardrive works as i have formated and got it working on a scsi PC.
I never ever got the drive to boot up from start without using amiga floppy disk to boot it up to the scsi drive is this possible?
your have to excuse me because i forgoten quite about about the means of using amigas commands so i need a dummies guide if possible thanks Russell
