it would have been crippled by the A1's bus

This was suppsed to be an entirely new motherboard which has absolutely zero to do with the AmigaONE other than that they both use PPC as a cpu.

 lou_dias,
The PV connects to the A1200, He was also working on CPU upgrades for the A1s and a new motherboard.

Hopefully once his father's medical issues have been dealth with and he is not stressing due to that situation, he'll reconsider.

Really, as a group we treat developers of new products like crap. Of course, I'd think that developers would have learned to tell us nothing and just release a product. I guess it is the fear that if we no thing that we may not be here when the product is released.

Savan,
I understand the let down. I too was hoping to see some pictures. It is not like we, the community, have not been here before. Posts like your are what drives people way. This topic was started just out of hate and to attack. If I'd checked this morning it wouldn't be here. I hope you enjoy your time away from AO. May it give you time to cool off.

Wow, some people take life far to seriously. And people wonder why the Amiga community gets such a bad reputation? Allowing trolls like this Savan person to remain is just going to keep future developers away.

Oh well, one more reason for us to forget about OS4

I don't know, I think those developers who treat the community with respect (like Jens Schoenfeld for example) get the same respect in return - the only time I've seen an announcement on amiga.org from Jens is when there's already a working product which people can buy, like the recent A600 expansion.

The same with Dennis and the Minimig - the guy only posted here when he had  a working board and posted photos - there were many doubters but he proved them all wrong.

All of the reaction to ACK's original announcement back in 2004 was positive and encouraging.  Everybody was saying that they wanted one.  It was only after 18 months of silence / nothing shown / excuses that the negativity and scepticism started.

*click* goes the sound of the lock being closed.  Thanks for everyone's help in keeping up with this.
