Have already tried that, changed from Essential to All but the game still freeze after the Psygnosis screen  :-(

Wierd, it works here with me. Have you tried starting it without intro? IIRC it have problems with displaying the intro.

The N64 version of the game was ok as it was smoother than the ps1 but had a lot of popup of certain tracks.2097 was good but i liked the 3rd one more due to being able to use the analog stick..

When using a Mediator with Voodoo, make sure you select a non-PC screenmode.
I had problems with the 4.26 Voodoo-drivers (messed up colours) and changed back to 4.23.
Running Wipeout fullscreen in 640x480 16bit non-PC without any problems now.

That is only because the n64 graphic chip blurred the textures.. The ps1 version looked more grainy, but it was more detailed and more sharp still.

I for one think that the ps1 was highly superior to the n64 mostly thanks to the media it used. Most n64 games were less than 10 megs, which meant that the sound and texture quality was horrible, while the ps1 games used a whole cd in most cases.

@Amigaz : it reminds me about PPC/Warp/W3D/CGX libs problems that I had.
A friend give me its install, and it works well on my 1200 GREX + Voodoo3/3000 (around 12-18 fps from 320 to 1024).
Keep the Faith !

The game went  much smoother without using AHI.
Haven't confirmed yet if 16bit screenmodes are faster  ;-)
Next thing is to try it on my Mediator setup with the tips I have got here, have to play some more with my A1200 PPC setup first.
My damn, low quality piece of crap CD32 controller's red button is almost dead, I almost have to sit on it for it to work so I have to start looking for a Competition Pro CD32 pad..anyone have one for sale?  :-P
