screen res for Frodo 2.4 on my Miggy?
« on: May 13, 2006, 04:30:50 PM »
Hi all,

I'm trying to use the C64 emulator Frodo 2.4 on my Amiga 1200 060 Mediator/Voodoo3 machine.

Unfortunately if I set a screen res below 512x384 I just get a visual mess, and 512x384 is not ideal.

I just want a low res (320x256?) filling up the who;le screen like I have on Magic64. Unfortunately Magic64 doesn't run Koronis Rift properly.  :(

Any thoughts?

In Frodo 4 the minimum screen size without window borders is 384x288. I'm not sure for Frodo 2.4 but C64 display is larger than 320x200.

From what I can see on the Amiga version of Frodo 4.1 you have no choice of screenmode or changing resolution, the display is just sent to a window on Workbench.

And as I say, it all works fine on Magic64 except it won't run Koronis Rift properly.

If you choose 320x200 screen mode it is probably too small for C64 display. You need something like 400x300.

Frodo 4.1 should work fullscreen mode but havent checked Amiga version for ages.
