well, see i could never ever afford that hardware is all.

i do want memory expansion mainly because a few AGA games require 2+Mb. i am not a heavy graphic designer on the A for instance.

i would get an Accellerator if it were cheaper.

might just seatch on eBay

i have the 3.5" IDE connector - that will allow you to plug in your Amiga HDD - but, i cannot find the drivers and need them.

it looks IDENTICAL to the one on AmigKit - HX IDE K

does someone know where the drivers can be found?

@3246251196

You don't need any drivers to use the adaptor, and you can't use the adaptor to connect a HDD to an A1200 (as already mentioned plenty of times here).

You can only use the adaptor to connecting a 2.5" harddrive to a PC or a big box Amiga.

The reason for it looking identical to the one at AmigaKit is that it in fact is the same adaptor. AmigaKit has just put a label on top of the adaptor to cover the HX IDE K part.

yes, doctorq, i am very aware that this is the stipulation. i AM connecting an A1200 to it TO my PC. it does need drivers because it is showing up as something which is not working in Computer Management. having went further into it it is said that Drivers Are Not Installed.

now, i have used my 2kSP4 partition and XPSP2 partition of windows for both of these and even XPSP2 will not just auto install it.

it requires drivers i feel....

So you're connecting an Amiga 2.5" hard drive to your PC.

Windows just can't read Amiga FFS formatted drives.  Nothing to do with drivers.  You'll have to run WinUAE and add the drive under 'add hard drives' and then run WinUAE to use the drive.

Good. The post I replied to didn't give an accurate description of what you actually was trying to do, that's all.
