Delfina's finally here!
« on: April 24, 2003, 02:13:36 AM »
Hi everyone:

So, my delfina has arrived and I'll posting a short review in a few hrs. when I get to home 'cause I'm still at work.  It came in a nice little individual computerrs marked box, the box includes:

1. 1xRCA type cable.
2. 1xSmall clock port cable to connect the board to the A1200 clock port (or ZIV, or VarIO, Xsurf, etc).
3. 2 x floppy disk with drivers, preferences programs, etc.
4. 1xSheet explaining how it can be connected to the different options, from the A1200 original clock port to the Xsurf.

It's important to mention that according to that small document, the 26 pin port common in individual computers' cards is NOT supported by current delfina library, except only on the Var I/O with the latest delfina library (according to what Jens S. told me by email).

The board is very small, rectangle shaped with no back plate or something else to connect to (this will be part of the flipper interface), it only has 2 small holes that you can use to fix it inside the A1200 tower (my case), of course, you have to isolate the board to avoid short circuits, etc.

We'll see how it performs in a few hours :-)

Cheers

Daniel

:-? Delfina is a sound card, right?  If it fits on the X-Surf's clock port, that would permit my A4000 and A3000 to each add one without using up Zorro slots.

:-D I definately want to read your review, sir!
