LTO, SDLT, Media Changers, Fibre Channel, and the Amiga.

Anyone know if someone out there has written (or expressed an interest in writing) an Amiga driver for LTO (Gen I, II, or III) tape drives or for SDLT drives(220, 320, 600, or V4)?  If not, does anyone out there have an interest in such a project?   I've got a little side project going to get my stock Amiga 3000 to act as a mini media server. Just for fun at the moment (need my "real" job fixing wintel hardware to support my Amiga habit..).  Right now my little program has about the same level of functionality as "robtest", though not as pretty.   Now that I can reliably command the robot -on an ATL P1000, anyway- I'd like to do some i/o to tape.  Thus far, I've found no drivers anywhere for the kinds of tape drives I have access to, namely sdlt and lto...  My C skills are intermediate, at best.  Writing a driver for a robotic library is one thing (left, right, up, down...how many things can a robot really do??).  Tape drives are quite another...  :)
