Help - AmigaForever and HyperComm3

Help -

I've found trying to use AmigaExplorer ( Cloanto Amiga Forever WinUAE) through a standard Amiga serial port is VERY SLOW !

I've acquired a hyperCOM3 card with no driver disk
however do have hyperCOM3.device in the DEVs subdirectory.
I am in need of vmcresource.library however and think the card will not initialize without this file?  Anyway when I modified the script to start AmigaExplorer SerDev = hyperCOM3.device I get the error "can not open serial port".

The hyperCOM3 connects to the A1200 clock port.  Pin #1 is down on the PCM-CIA side of the motherboard, but the instructions I downloaded indicate that the cable / red stripe must be connected to the "top" side nearer to the
150-pin accelerator board connector.  IS THIS CORRECT?

I hope so !   That is the way I connected it up. Is anybody running AmigaExplorer through the HyperCom3 card?
How did you modify the start-up of AmigaExplorer? Thanks for any help.
