adding cyberscsi to CSmk2
« on: March 10, 2006, 03:29:01 PM »
jst got round to fitting this bit of kit and the amiga wont boot with it fitted :(
I read somewhere that the firmware of the csmk2 might need upgrading for it to work but when i tried this i got a message saying i needed to set the write-enable jumper on the csmk2 (i didnt know there was such a jumper).
Anyone know hwere i could get an english manual for either of these (the cpu and/or scsi add-on)? or how the firmware update can be done (where is this jumper)?
cheers,
Aled.

There is only one jumper on the actual CSMK2 board, and this is the one you are looking for. Install the jumper, and the card is write enabled so you can flash the card with the latest software.

Those are soldered jumpers, and is nothing you have to mess around with. There is only one jumper that looks like a normal jumper, so it should be hard to miss.

There's only one jumper on the CS board itself that can take a jumper without soldering. That's the one you need. It's between the CPU and the ROM chip. When a jumper is placed it's write enabled else it's not.
